Sing we the King who is coming to reign

1
Sing we the King who is coming to reign,
Glory to Jesus, the Lamb that was slain;
Righteousness, peace then His empire shall bring,
Joy to the nations when Jesus is King.

Come let us sing: Praise to our King,
Jesus our King, Jesus our King:
This is our song, who to Jesus belong:
  Glory to Jesus, to Jesus our King.
2
All men shall dwell in His marvelous light,
Races long severed His love shall unite,
Justice and truth from His scepter shall spring,
Wrong shall be ended when Jesus is King.
3
All shall be well in His kingdom of peace,
Freedom shall flourish and wisdom increase,
Foe shall be friend when His triumph we sing,
Sword shall be sickle when Jesus is King.
4
Knowledge and fear of the Lord then shall be
As the deep waters that cover the sea;
All things shall be in the splendor of spring
And all harmonious when Jesus is King.
5
Kingdom of Christ, for thy coming we pray,
Hasten, O Father, the dawn of the day
When this new song Thy creation shall sing,
Satan is vanquished and Jesus is King.

May our voices be lifted together in worship of our King, Jesus. From every tribe and nation He has purchased a people to Himself, Sing to our King! My brothers, courage and the blessings of the Most High be upon you!

Sing we the king is the song that always lifted my soul in glory to God. I feel comfort whenever I sing it.

Our beloved country goes to the polls on Wednesday 8th May. May the elected Lord Jesus reign as King across this land!

The Holy Spirit placed this hymn on my heart today in answer to a prayer. He has confirmed that Jesus is king of every situation that I am going through. It ministered peace to my heart. It also speaks of reconciliation and freedom. Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord! Amen.

I agree with every word in my soul and in my spirit.

As I write this I'm reminded of John chapter 3 where the Lord Jesus Christ tells a highly religious man, Nicodemus, that unless he was born again he cannot even SEE the kingdom of God, - let alone enter it.

In order to love the second coming of Jesus we have to be born again as a result of his first coming - his sin bearing death on Calvary and mighty resurrection from the dead (Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians 15). Paul writes that God gives the crown of life to all those who LOVE his appearing (2 Timothy).

But in order to love His appearing and receive the crown of life, we must repent and believe the gospel of his first coming and so find our names written in the Lamb's book of life (Revelation) - and of such sinners the Angels of God rejoice over their repentance (Luke)

A great hymn of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. I sing it in worship to another tune found in the hymn book Redemption Hymnal (British). Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for His unspeakable gift!
