Therefore with joy shall ye draw water
Out of the wells of salvation.
And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord.
(Repeat the above four lines)
Out of the wells of salvation.
And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord.
(Repeat the above four lines)
Call upon His name,
Declare His doings among the people,
Make mention that His name is exalted.
Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion:
For great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
Declare His doings among the people,
Make mention that His name is exalted.
Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion:
For great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

Yes
Was this not our experience when the Lord first saved us “with a joy that is unspeakable and full of glory. ” Only God’s glorious JOY, coming into us, in Christ, can be this highest of all joys.

Wow. I was going through the book of Isaiah and I came across Isaiah 12, which I realized is the scripture this hymn is based off of. As I was reading it my spirit started to sing! Amazing. Amen Lord, we touch our spirits with joy.
