Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r

1
Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
2
Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
3
When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white!
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for His presence bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?
4
Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
O be washed in the blood of the Lamb.

I was in a dream and the setting was a wedding ceremony for my late uncle that died recently and we are still preparing his burial ceremony. In the dream, my late uncle raised this song when the band was fumbling with their instrument and could not raise a music for the guests. When I woke up, I was moved to google the song and I found this. Thank you so much, the piano version was excellent. I had another opportunity to reflect on the wordings. They are reassuring. Thank God for His grace to us. Amen.

This HYMN is a powerful one, depicting the blood that cleanse and can set free from sins and iniquities, irrespective of your Race, Tribe, Culture, Color and personality. It's a song that makes one trace his track back, to tune you back to your original state in Christ. God bless you all.

It's in the URL address line in your browser, very last phrase. For example, for this hymn it says: http://www.hymnal.net/en/hymn/h/1007. So 1007 is the hymn number. Since I am answering your query, I will also make a comment.

What a great song. Are you FULLY trusting in his grace this hour? I have to admit to my shame, I am a partial truster of grace. It's grace +. Grace + a back-up plan; grace + my clever working; grace + an influential person. But then I am short-changed of what I receive. Henceforth, let it be grace alone. Let me FULLY trust in his grace hour by hour, so that I need nothing else.

Why do they no longer have their numbers in the hymnal? That's the main reason I was searching for this song was to find what number it is in the hymnal.

Question: Is it accurate to say that the blood cleanses our soul?

Answer: One of the hymns we sing refers to the "soul-cleansing blood." The redeeming blood cleanses us from any sin or defilement. It is probably better to avoid using this term in ordinary talk, though I would not say that it is wrong. The soul means the self. The blood does cleanse us from our sins, but we do not need to call it the "soul-cleansing" blood. In our writings we try to stay away from any questionable terminology. We don't condemn what others use, but we don't necessarily adopt their terms either.
