Great Searchings of Heart

In these last days before the Lord’s coming,
  before the Lord’s coming,
We must be those who have great resolutions in heart,
We must be those who have

Great resolutions in heart and great searchings of heart,
Who have great resolutions in heart,
  and great searchings of heart,
  searchings of heart,
  searchings of heart.

(Bridge)
We must be absolutely consecrated to God,
Having one heart to love Him, seek Him, live Him,
And be constituted with Him to be His expression.
We must be those who have

I've really been enjoying this hymn recently, as it calms my anxious soul during the current situation of the world and reminds me of my consecration of my life to the Lord.

"Judges 5:15-16 speaks of “great resolutions in heart” and “great searchings of heart. ” In Israel’s miserable situation, no one was searching his heart. But the people needed a great searching of their hearts, and they needed to make great resolutions in their hearts to rise up and follow the others to fight for God’s kingdom."

"In our prayer spontaneously the searching of the heart comes to us. This issues in a resolve to live for the Lord and to fight for the Lord according to the present need in His recovery."

"If we do not go out to gain sinners, God will not go, but if we go, God also will go. However, this kind of going out needs a searching of our heart and a resolution in our heart. God will not work until we become active in this searching of our heart and making resolutions in our heart."

Amen Lord blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God Matthew 5v8.

Footnote: For the kingdom of the heavens we need to be poor in spirit, empty in our spirit that we may receive Christ. Also we need to be pure, single, in our heart that Christ may grow in us without frustration.

If we are pure in heart in seeking God we will see God. Seeing God is a reward to the pure in heart. This blessing is both for today and for the coming age.
