Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a right spirit within me.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from Thy presence;
Take not Thy holy Spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation;
And renew a right spirit within me.
And renew a right spirit within me.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from Thy presence;
Take not Thy holy Spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation;
And renew a right spirit within me.

Beautiful song.It shows how the Lord loves us and forgives us even from our utter depravity. Let us ask the Lord as David did to create in us a clean heart and renew the right spirit.

To the writer of this song, THANK YOU! I love this song and I love the Scripture [Psalms 51] Because the HEART is where God lives, the HEART is how God touches us, the HEART is how God loves through us, and with our HEARTS God expects us to love and touch others. Because what comes from the HEART reaches the HEART... When God lives in us, others will certainly be able to tell... So each and Everyday we muct ask God to CREATE IN US A CLEAN HEART AND RENEW HIS LOVING SPIRIT WITHIN US... PRAISE GOD!!!

I like this because I want to have a clean and faithful heart toward God.
King David had a desire for God's heart, which is His building. Yet the Lord let him fell to the deepest pit in David's life, and now, David fully realizing his situation, with all that Jehovah had done for him in view, cried out to God, and had the deepest, and most absolute repentance.
His transgression and repentance with the forgiveness of the God issued in a marriage, which brought forth Solomon, the peaceful one, the beloved, who is the builder of the temple of God.
In our Christian life, we will have experience like David, where we fall and think how can I have done this. Then we will have the most genuine repentance, our natural man will be dealt with, and we will never boast because we know our source is like Solomon. The builders of the Temple of God must have this kind of experience.
So saints, never be discouraged. Come, boldly to the throne of grace.

Sometimes I feel like I am all wrong with the Lord. This hymn reminds me that we have to ask the Lord to do the work in us and stop relying on ourselves. Whenever we do this the Lord will take us back as a loving Father. Hallelujah!

This song reminds me to remember the joy that I had when I was first saved. "Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation." This line is so precious to me. Many times we're busy and forget to turn to the Lord, but we can always consecrate ourselves that we would have a clean heart only for Him.
