This afternoon, I found an old video of me singing this song as a child. I messed up most of the words, but I did know there was not one friend like Jesus, only I sang "the lonely Jesus." Should be lowly, but I do find great comfort knowing He understands our lonely days too. Had to look up the lyrics tonight, so thankful for the truth packed into this simple melody. 💙

This song came to my mind this morning while I was doing my morning chores.. After completing all I needed to do, I decided to search the full lyrics online... I didn't know when I started crying while singing it.. There's this new understanding I'm having while singing this hymn and it's looking like it's not this same hymn have been singing for so many years in church... Wow.. Good is so good.. Indeed there's no friend like Jesus.. This hymn is a great blessing.. Glory to God who gave the inspiration through His spirit for this hymn to be written.. Hallelujah!!

What a joy to be joined in God’s Holy Spirit with Christian family around the world. The fear of the Lord means trusting and obeying Him. A fear of Him that I felt at 8years old when I made decision to accept Christ as my personal Savior and Son of the only true and living God. Who knew that in a very short time I would be in a fight for my life that would last four years.
