Who for the right way races

1
Who for the right way races,
Hands drooping, wearied, sore—
Oh, look away to Jesus;
Be tired, dismayed no more.
His face, with shining brilliance,
Drives troubling gloom away;
His glorious face regarding,
You’ll be as bright as day.
2
Just look away to Jesus—
You surely will not see
The persecution, hardships,
That press, surrounding thee.
There’ll be no tears of sorrow
Your vision to occlude;
No dangers and no terrors
Your heart to veil, delude.
3
Oh, look away to Jesus;
Deep grace your spirit finds;
This world has tribulation;
In Jesus, peace is thine.
Man’s life a stormy sea is,
Much prone to surging waves,
But look away to Jesus—
Your heart won’t be dismayed.
4
Oh, look away to Jesus;
Confused you will not be;
If oft to Him your gaze is,
He’ll point the way for thee.
And as He leads thee forward,
Though clouds or fog are there,
Your head incline before Him;
You surely will not err.
5
Oh, look away to Jesus,
Till, taking you on high,
He shows His glorious visage
In full before your eyes.
Today the face of Jesus
Gives strength along the way;
That day ’twill turn to praises
And make you glad for aye.
