1
Breathe Thou, O Lord, on me,
My drooping spirit raise;
Deliver me from fear and death
Into Thy life of praise.
My drooping spirit raise;
Deliver me from fear and death
Into Thy life of praise.
2
Breathe Thou, O Lord, on me,
Strength to my spirit bring,
That running, walking, fainting not,
I’ll mount on eagles’ wings.
Strength to my spirit bring,
That running, walking, fainting not,
I’ll mount on eagles’ wings.
3
Breathe Thou, O Lord, on me
That I may enter rest,
That heart and spirit joyful be
By leaning on Thy breast.
That I may enter rest,
That heart and spirit joyful be
By leaning on Thy breast.
4
Breathe Thou, O Lord, on me
Till filled with Thee, I plead,
No longer I that live, but Christ
In thought, and word, and deed.
Till filled with Thee, I plead,
No longer I that live, but Christ
In thought, and word, and deed.
5
Breathe Thou on me and touch
My independency,
That in Thy Body I’ll be built
With all the saints in Thee.
My independency,
That in Thy Body I’ll be built
With all the saints in Thee.

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me. The breath of the almighty gives me life. And we know it is the Spirit that gives us that eternal Life. So the breath of God is His very Spirit. Job 32:8 NIV “But it is the spirit in a person, the breath of the All mighty…” So we can all say breath Lord Jesus on me. Lord encourage our spirit, strengthen our spirit, give peace to us, and fill us. This breath is fresh and new, gives us joy, and inspires us. What an encouragement!

O Lord! How we depend on You to Breathe on us! Raise our drooping spirits, strengthen us into the inner man, grant us to enter rest, to be filled with You, and, HALLELUIAH, to lose independency to be built with all the saints in Thee. Breathe on us for this, O Lord.
