Down from His glory

1
Down from His glory,
  Ever living story,
My God and Savior came,
  And Jesus was His name.
Born in a manger,
  To His own a stranger,
A Man of sorrows, tears and agony.

O how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God’s fulness dwelleth in Him.
2
What condescension,
  Bringing us redemption;
That in the dead of night,
Not one faint hope in sight,
God, gracious, tender,
  Laid aside His splendor,
Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul.
3
Without reluctance,
  Flesh and blood His substance
He took the form of man,
  Revealed the hidden plan.
O glorious myst’ry,
  Sacrifice of Calv’ry,
And now I know Thou art the great “I AM.”

I love that God came down from His majesty on high, came so humble and died for my sins and sickness and raised again. He's ever living and is my High Priest. He is my everything!!!!♡

I just love the words to this song. It has been running through my mind for days and couldn't remember all the words. I love the line that says "The Great Creator became my Saviour"...how awesome a thought. So thankful I could find the words.

I've loved this song since the Early '60s. It's probably my favorite. My solo voice isn't what it was then, but I plan to sing it soon. My own music was in storage. I'm so happy to find this online. Praise God for all He is and all He's done for us.
