I've been so overwhelmed with a lot of burden, ministry, family, job and relationship. This morning I had a revelation: when I find myself in the midst of two of my friends and brothers in Christ, we were arguing about the lyrics of this song. The only thing I did this morning is to take all the cares and my burden to The Lord, I feel relieved. Thank You Jesus.

The words ‘Take it to the Lotd in Prayer’ is going through my mind. My partner of 11 years just up and left me. I am a Christian and he is not. Feeling a little lost and bewildered of late I hear these words. ‘Take it to the Lord in Prayer’ looking up the lyrics I find this site. I realise I don’t take things to the Lord too often I shoulder all the hurt and pain. Not sure why. I know my God had always been there for me..... time to lean on Him I think and take it to the Lord in Prayer.

I was having difficulty falling to sleep. Started praying and the Holy Spirit downloaded this hymn, I learned in Sunday school, many years ago. As I started humming the melody, my spirit was overwhelmed with His Peace, Joy and Comfort. I was listening to Prof. Dr. PLO Lumumba on the theme "Political Leadership" but before beginning he ask someone with a beautiful voice do sing this song for the audience before he elaborate, of which a lady with very beautiful voice did and I was moved by the sounds that led be falls in love with this song so much. This is a song that the spirit placed on my heart the moment I enter the office. I did not know the words of the song but all I could get is the sound of it. I started searching the song from YouTube, but to my surprise I typed in the correct words "WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS". I started listening to it all over.
I have no history about the song, but I understand that the Lord wanted me to listen to this song.
