I honestly been touched by this song which is for me a landmark on my journey to salvation. Mostly people misconstrue who Jesus really is, no matter how they see him, he's what this song rightly says He is, a friend in need, a saviour, he bears my load of burdens anytime, he hears prayers and answers them. And just more than all these.

So often I thank God for giving men the inspiration to write such beautiful songs of praise and thanksgiving. I really love how men have written songs from scripture such as Keith Green's song from the 23 Psalms. So often I will sing to the Lord before I start to pray.

I woke in the middle of the night with sad memories of my own and others' past failures. My thoughts were like "the fiery darts of the evil one, who prowls around, seeking someone to devour." The Lord brought this song to my mind, which I had memorized over 50 years ago. I was able to experience the reality of "in His arms He'll take and shield thee." Jesus comforted me with His mighty presence. The Psalms proclaim that the Lord is our Shelter, Refuge, Fortress, Rock, Shield and Hiding Place. We must daily "put on the full armour of God." Ask Him to give you "genuine true saving faith," not just emotional or intellectual knowledge of Jesus: "the only Name under heaven by which we may be saved." Jesus knows our every weakness, because "He was tempted in every manner as us, yet He was without sin." I thank God for all of you beautiful brothers and sisters from around the world! Your testimonies have encouraged me, just as the words of this song have. All glory to God, our Creator, Redeemer, Savior and Friend!

After depressing experience in the past week! I woke up this morning with the phrase "Jesus knows our every weakness" it's so encouraging that He knows as I am really struggling to take it to Him in prayer.
