He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater

1
He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase,
To added affliction He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.
2
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half-done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
3
His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men,
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth and giveth and giveth again.

His power no boundary known unto men...

Yes, there is another verse....

Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,

Our God ever yearns His resources to share;

Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;

The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.

Look up the story of this hymn's author, Annie Johnson Flint, to be amazed by the power of Christ in her life. He empowered her to write this hymn of praise out of chronic illness and great suffering!

Should there be another verse here that starts out: "Fear not that thy need shall exceed his provision."?

Very thankful for this site. Helping me learn and appreciate hymns. Very nice set up. User friendly.

Some born again Christians endure a great deal of trials and temptations, almost too much to bear and resist. But Paul writes in 2 Corinthians of born again Christians that they will not be tempted above that which they can endure, but God, with the temptation, will find a way of escape.

A person becomes a born again Christian by repenting of their sins and believing that Jesus died, having taken away their sins, rose again, to show that He was sinless and did not deserve to die. (Romans 10 verse 9).

I am thinking of this hymn right now. We were three days in the hospital with my son. They told us he could go home yesterday, but on the way home the doctor called us on our cell phone, and told us upon finding something we needed to return to the hospital immediately. Either I can push through this situation with my little strength, which is just about gone, or open to His greater supply of Himself. "He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater." Every unknown step we have taken has been met by His grace.

Untill you find yourself in a great need for His Grace, you will not truly or fully understand!!! It is true that YOU will never completely understand how He completely and fully LOVES us needy and helpless children untill we cry out to HIM! There is no person that is able to help YOU !!!
