Each time I sing this song, I always cry, it touches my soul, you know music is a form of dialogue where one wishes for express his mind, his feelings, his smile, his worries, etc by putting words together in singing, I love this.

The words of verse 4, (But we never can “prove” the delights of His love until all on the altar we lay), came to mind when I was reflecting on Romans 12:2 (KJV) (... that you may “prove” what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God).
The word “prove” means, (to me), to experience the stability of, and dwell in the security of it.
(Ephesians 3:17-19) “ that Christ might dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breath, and length, and depth, and height and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the Fullness of God.
What a connecting hymns so much promises only if we will trust and do His will.
