He’s in the world today.
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy;
I hear His voice of cheer;
And just the time I need Him
He’s always near.
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary,
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading,
Through all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him,
The Help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.

Every one wants to stay out of heaven, but this song bring heaven to you. Our Lord and Savior said that the kingdom of God was on the inside of us. What a wonderful experence to be able to walk in the garden early in the morning and to have Him speak to us. To have a relationship with the Most High—how wonderful!

I was given this by my choir master as the song for Sunday. Earlier on, I had a little problem to the extent of shedding tears and asking if Jesus is aware of what am going through. I came to search for the hymn and reading through the words, I wept more and told Jesus am sorry. I know He lives and He is aware of all. Thank You Jesus for going through with me along life's stormy way.

When we sing this song He does come alive to us. My greatest desire is to make it a heart song. Just like the birds in the tree he opens his mouth and the song burst forth. Is it so wonderful to be able to come to the living God while the dew is still on the rose. I know that I will pay dearly for this word.

My heart was most encouraged to read comments from all over the world! My prayer is one day he brings all of His people together in unity. He Lives!!!
When I awakened this morning and thought of my eye surgery tomorrow morning, I became a little anxious. As I prayed for calm and peace, the words, "He walks with me, He talks with me along life's narrow way " came into my head. I was reminded of His everlasting presence and His blessed assurance thus allowing me to calm my anxiety. I am grateful to God that I am able to have this surgery to improve my vision. I am also grateful for this site because I couldn't remember the rest of the lyrics. Thank you. I'm sure this song will be playing in my head tomorrow morning.
one of the greatest hymns of all!

I'm serving the piano now and the first song that comes up is this! I enjoy this song very much and sing it with my friends sometimes.

I grew singing this hymn in Riverview Baptist, Ft Dodge IA. My mom was the pianist. Last couple of days this song has been going thru my head & decided to look the lyrics up. PTL I found this site.
Mom passed on last month. When I played the piano music, the tears welled up. I flashbacked and envisioned Mom playing again. How much she must be enjoying playing for our Risen Saviour.
