1
Jesus, meek and gentle,
Son of God most High,
Pitying, loving Savior,
Hear Thy children’s cry.
Son of God most High,
Pitying, loving Savior,
Hear Thy children’s cry.
2
Pardon our offences,
Loose our captive chains,
Break down every idol
Which our soul detains.
Loose our captive chains,
Break down every idol
Which our soul detains.
3
Give us holy freedom,
Fill our heart with grace;
Lead us on our journey,
Till we win the race.
Fill our heart with grace;
Lead us on our journey,
Till we win the race.
4
Jesus, meek and gentle,
Son of God most high,
Pitying, loving Savior,
Hear Thy children’s cry.
Son of God most high,
Pitying, loving Savior,
Hear Thy children’s cry.

This morning, this song surfaced in my heart from the dim past when we used to sing it at our local church. Jesus, Son of God Most High indeed

Back in Secondary school in those days, we always sing this lovely hymn in the morning assembly before we March in.
I have forgotten about the song completely until one little girl from my street was. returning from school few days ago and she sang the song while she walk along the Road and I remembered it again.
