I’m pressing on the upward way,
G
I'm pressing on the
G7
upward
C
way,
New heights I'm
G
gaining every
D
day;
Still
D7
praying
G
as I
G7
onward
C
bound,
"Lord, plant my
G
feet on high
D7
er
G
ground."
Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
G
Lord, lift me up, and let me
D
stand
By faith on
D7
Canaan's table
G
land;
A higher plane than
G7
I have
C
found,
Lord, plant my
G
feet on
D7
higher
G
ground.

My heart has no desire to stay
My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.
G
My heart has no
G7
desire to
C
stay
Where doubts
G
arise and fears
D
dismay;
Though
D7
some may
G
dwell where
G7
these

abound,
My prayer,
G
my aim, is
D7 G
higher ground.
Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
G
Lord, lift me up, and let me

stand
By faith on

Canaan's table

land;
A higher plane than
G7
I have

found,
Lord, plant my

higher

ground.

I want to live above the world,
I want to live above the world,
Though Satan's darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.
G
I want to live
G7
above the

Though Satan's

4
I want to scale the utmost height
I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I'll pray till rest I've found,
"Lord, lead me on to higher ground."
G
I want to scale the
G7
utmost
C
height
And catch a
G
gleam of glory
D
bright;
But
D7
still I'll
G
pray till

Was just meditating by the sea side when the song rang in my heart and I just wanted to remember the lyrics and couldn't, so I consulted Google.
It soul lifting indeed

I was singing this beautiful song in the dream and woke up and have to check it out to continue in the physical.
It shall be a glorious day for me as I Press On The Upward Way. The Lord will definitely Plant My Feet On Higher Grounds.

I woke up with this powerful and anointing song in my heart. I had to pray fervently and seek God. Its such a blessing to worship in the beauty of holiness. To God be the Glory.

Akure, Ondo, Nigeria
All thanks to God almighty. We just finished a preparation meeting for Sunday service on a Saturday evening and I got to lie down on the bed, then the holy Spirit brought the hymn into my spirit, can't even remember the last time I sang the hymn, but I thank the holy Spirit for the inspiration and by the time I goggle it and I sang it with joy in my heart and laughter in my mouth, it was a confirmation to what holy Spirit has been sharing with for some few days ago. All thanks to God almighty.
And a great thanks to the initiator of this platform. More grace and God bless you in Jesus name. Amen.
