1
Nothing between my soul and the Savior,
Naught of this world’s delusive dream;
I have renounced all sinful pleasure;
Jesus is mine, there’s nothing between.
Naught of this world’s delusive dream;
I have renounced all sinful pleasure;
Jesus is mine, there’s nothing between.
Nothing between my soul and the Savior,
So that His blessed face may be seen;
Nothing preventing the least of His favor,
Keep the way clear! Let nothing between.
So that His blessed face may be seen;
Nothing preventing the least of His favor,
Keep the way clear! Let nothing between.
2
Nothing between, like worldly pleasure;
Habits of life, though harmless they seem,
Must not my heart from Him e’er sever;
He is my all, there’s nothing between.
Habits of life, though harmless they seem,
Must not my heart from Him e’er sever;
He is my all, there’s nothing between.
3
Nothing between, like pride or station;
Self-life or friends shall not intervene;
Though it may cost me much tribulation,
I am resolved; there’s nothing between.
Self-life or friends shall not intervene;
Though it may cost me much tribulation,
I am resolved; there’s nothing between.
4
Nothing between, e’en many hard trials,
Though the whole world against me convene;
Watching with prayer and much self-denial,
I’ll triumph at last, with nothing between.
Though the whole world against me convene;
Watching with prayer and much self-denial,
I’ll triumph at last, with nothing between.

God has blessed me with this hymn today. May I let nothing between!

I first listened to this all-time soul refreshing song about nine years ago. I've never recovered from its influence ever since. Same song flooded my soul for the past three days now and I purposed to google to sing all the lyrics over again on-line. Jesus be blessed because He's the essence of the untold sweetness behind both the lyrics and music. All glory to God. Appreciation to the composer.

What really stands out for me in this song, is that no "habits of life, though harmless they seem" should prevent me from receiving the blessings the LORD wants to pour out over me. And also the last verse - will I be willing to stand "though the whole world against me convene"? The only way I'll stand and triumph is by "watching with prayer and much self-denial" - what a blessed song this is! Glory to Jesus!

Years ago when my father pastored a church, he would often lead the prayer meeting with this song. It was important that the prayers of all of us would not be hindered by unconfessed sin....I think of this song so often even now when praying.

When battles are on, sing hymns to the Glory of God. We are commanded to sing hymns and spiritual songs, for it will fight for us through a battle.

I have sung songs. I have listened to many renditions. I have also taken part in many congregational hymns both in and outside the church but on this day when this hymn was rendered in the church, I was moved. Even close to tears. Then I said a silent prayer for God's Grace upon my life. He is the only One I have got. There is nothing between, by His Grace.

This song is so so refreshing.
I remember my days at the University in Ibadan Nigeria, we will sing this song in the Choir again and again.
It is one of my favorite hymns. It keeps the Love for God burning with a new intensity on the altar of our hearts, little wonder we were able to impart the University Community so much with the Glorious Gospel that was committed to our trust.

This song give me an inspirational assurance of my relationship with God despite what the world and others may think or say. It's very soothing!

Oh, I love this song, it touches the deepest part of my soul. I used to hear it sung in my childhood church. Indeed, nothing should come between me and my Savior, not a thing, desire, work, or person.
