Lovely to read others’ take on this beautiful hymn. A favourite of mine too - often sung in the shower. Mischievously I sometimes alter verse 2 line 2 to ‘unaccompanied by tea’ . Writing this in the early morning in bed after my wife has kindly brought me a cup of the reviving liquid.
