Amazing Grace

1
Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,
  That saved a wretch; like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
  Was blind, but now I see.
2
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
  And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
  The hour I first believed!
3
The Lord hath promised good to me,
  His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
  As long as life endures.
4
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
  Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
  Than when we first begun.

To Russell.

When I was longing for Jesus and couldn't find Him, a woman filled with His Spirit said, "if you put Him first you will find Him, if you seek Him with your whole heart." I began my search reading the Gospel of John with the question "Who are You Jesus? And are you real? If You are I want to know You completely like the disciples did". Jesus revealed Himself to me and I have been following Him ever since. More in love with Him every day. May you find the only One truly worth searching for.

To the ones that are not Believers in Jesus Christ…. As Pastor Adrian Rogers asked an Atheist…. IF you REALLY want to know The Truth…read the Book 📖 of John all the way through in King James Bible! The Atheist was Glorious Saved after reading 📖 John and learning who Jesus really is!!!

I am not a believer, I can't believe Jesus was more than human, a very beautiful person, but a man. I can't see God in this life. However I can't listen to Amazing Grace without tears and choking back a powerful emotion. I wish so much that it could be true. but I don't see it.

love to everyone

The story of the author John Newton is a true testament to the power of grace given to all of us. He was a slave trader who became shipwrecked and in desperation reached out to God and through Grace spent a Holy Spirit filled life journeying through redemption.

I love this song. I especially, love the 4th verse.

We are familiar with the hymn "Amazing Grace." Although this is a good hymn, it does not speak of the Triune God as our portion for our enjoyment. When this hymn was written, the experiential knowledge of God among the Lord's people had not come to this point. Even as recent as fifty years ago, Christians did not have the understanding of grace as the Triune God experienced and enjoyed by us. But standing on the shoulders of those who have gone before us, we have come to know that grace is far more than merely unmerited favor. Grace is the Triune God—the Father, the Son, and the Spirit—processed for our experience and enjoyment.
