Let me hide myself in Thee;
Let the water and the blood,
From Thy riven side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure,
Save me from its guilt and power.
Can fulfill Thy law’s demands;
Could my zeal no respite know,
Could my tears forever flow,
All could never sin erase,
Thou must save, and save by grace.
Simply to Thy cross I cling;
Naked, come to Thee for dress,
Helpless, look to Thee for grace:
Foul, I to the fountain fly,
Wash me, Savior, or I die.
When mine eyes shall close in death,
When I soar to worlds unknown,
See Thee on Thy judgment throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee.

Beautiful song. It reminds me of my High school years when we used to sing this song in the Gospel Choir during Chapel time.

Even me... as breath to live , may I live to breath, words of hope to those in need, for if to die is to gain, things must get better, as we read in His word, it is told in a letter. Starting to make sence, for He leads the blind to see, this is how He could love even me. He calls to Himself , those that He loves, He gave please through an olive branch and on wings of a dove. So tis true , yet not easy to say, no one has loved me on such a way, with may faults and my frailties how can it be, that Jesus takes time to love even me.

I have to say… when I first came into this world I was a small child, not knowing who or what to cling to. After hearing this song, I realize the absolute grace that my body has been blessed with. Every inch of my body, fingers to toes, gets goosebumps when this song is played. The numbers before stanzas give me an organization in my life that I have not yet received anywhere else. Thank you, hymnal.net.
