God has called us for His purpose

1
God has called us for His purpose,
His economy so glorious,
For which He was fully processed;
Consummated now is He!
As the Spirit, He indwells us;
As our God allotted portion,
Working out His full salvation,
Making us the same as He is.

Oh, may a clear, controlling vision of
The Lord’s economy direct my heart,
And burn in me until my spirit’s wholly set afire!
With spirit strong and active we’ll press on
To consummate God’s goal—
New Jerusalem, Hallelujah!
2
Jesus lived the God-man pattern,
Set the way for us to follow,
He denied His natural man and
Was obedient unto death,
Once He was the only God-man;
Now we are His duplication.
As the many grains we’re blended
As His corporate reproduction.
3
Living out His resurrection,
Dying to the flesh and soul-life.
Living by the mingled spirit,
Natural man we will deny.
Now we’re living in the Body,
Every day we’re overcoming,
Striving for the peak of Zion,
Watching for our Lord’s appearing.
4
God and man will have one living,
Always in the mingled spirit;
We two are incorporated
One organic entity!
This the vision of the ages
Will control our daily living
That the Lord may have His Body
Shining as the holy city.

Knowing that God has called us for His purpose is a most encouraging word. To know His purpose is a great mercy. It has been nearly forty years since I touched the recovery" country="and it has been tough at times. Today after so long a time I am thrilled to be able to say it has been well worth everything I have been through. Praise the Lord. When I first heard Bro. Lee speak concerning the human spirit and the matter of Life and how critical it is to see that Life is in our spirit, it cleared up so many personal issues I had at the time. After growing up in a christian home, I believed that Jesus had come into my heart at the age of ten as I knelt before the Lord and asked Him to come in. Later as I tried to live the christian life I became bothered that if Jesus was in heart how come I failed in so many ways. Today I am thankful to know Jesus is in my spirit as the Life-giving Spirit desiring to spread into all my heart. Now from my spirit Christ is spreading to my mind, emotion, and will, saving my soul little by little, day by day. Hallelujah! Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 "I will build my Church". Afterward the Apostle Paul realized the Church is His Body, and Christ is the Head. In the One Body there is One Spirit. We are kept in One Spirit by submitting to the One Head, Christ. How else could we be built up? Each one of us needs our souls to be saved, no part of my natural man, the man of the old creation have any part in the New Man of which Christ is the Head, therefore we must deny any thought that the Christ in our spirits would want division. Today in many localities, there are some who have missed the basic point. When in spirit I would never have a thought to divorce the Body. If I have a conflict concerning anything about what the Lord desires, I should first take it to the Lord then to the Brothers. We should always be ready and willing to submit to the Lord through the brothers to maintain the oneness. We must reject everything that would cause division. What ever problem arises in the church the Head of the body is more than able to resolve. We should only care to remain under the Headship of Christ. May the Lord bless His recovery to fulfill His purpose.

This song is so wonderful. I first sang it in a meeting at Houston at the Chinese-speaking Conference of the Reality of the Body of Christ. It just reminds us that God has CALLED US for His purpose and turn away from everything us and pursue Him and build up the Body, the New Jerusalem, Hallelujah!!!

I first heard this song at a college meeting at UCLA campus" country="and it touched me. This past Lord's Day the meeting was on God's Economy, and the ONEness the God wants us to have. I am in a hotel room on a business trip and found this website, clicked on "song of the day" and here it was again! This brings tears to my eyes and touched my spirit that another Saint halfway around the world just listened to it as well. Our life in Christ is amazing and we are ONE indeed!

This is the song I learnt to sing when I went to a students' training meeting for the first time and was saved there. I was but a small young boy then, this song really touched my little heart and still continues to do the same now!! I remember singing this song with top of my voice until my throat gave away. I sensed something really burning within.

The words in this song are just wonderful, fully revealing His heart's desire and purpose for men. This song just causes you to give yourself for the Lord's purpose by renewing our consecration to the Lord.
