“Through water saved”—what mystery! Lord, show all this entails! Salvation’s height cause me to see; How much I’m saved, unveil. |

“Through water saved”—to life transferred, Now from the world let go, Gone is the past, at last submerged In this mysterious flow. |

“Through water saved”—from evil age Like Noah was from his; Now through the cross, baptism’s stage, This world no longer is. |

“Through water saved”—like Israel was From Egypt’s cruel domain. Baptism thus now rescues us From this world’s binding chain. |

“Through water saved”—release is gained! This freedom all transcends: From bonds of world at last unchained, From Satan, sorrow, sin. |

“Through water saved”—I’m God’s fore’er; No more the world’s am I; Serve, worship Him—my portion dear; To God I’m sanctified. |
