1
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
2
Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
3
Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
4
But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
5
Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do;
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do;
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

This song is a blessing to me, reminding me that I do not have to worry as long as I abide in Him. When I get anxious and get caught up in trying to "fix" the problems and people in my life, I can stop if I remember to trust and obey because He has already figured it out. I just need to keep my heart "fixed" on God and our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

A blessing and God's assurance of His presence in my life as I keep on trusting and obedience to His command.

The words are so comforting. They came in handy while preparing a sermon for today. It is a complete message showing that those who trust in God can neither lack anything nor be saddened by anything. God bless the obedient writer.

Finishing a quiet time about God knowing the best for our lives and that not all obstacles are from Satan. The song came to heart and thus lifted me.

Am greatly relieved by this song. I was praying and singing praises when this song just came to my mouth. I goggled the lyrics. I believe that my burdens are lifted and all I am believing God has perfected all my heart desires through this song. Amen. It lifted me up and I'm so glad... God is awesome!!

This song has been one of my least desires only because it so greatly challenges my faith. Through trials and chastening from the Father, I have been drawn in by the admonishments that it richly provides. It easy to sing songs about Christ as my Savior, but my flesh resists these songs that proclaim His total worth as the LORD. The Spirit of God is thankfully so much stronger than our flesh.
To see the comments of you saints abroad encourages my heart. I pray that you are comforted and strengthened in the Spirit.

This song got into my heart, when I was praying for a woman that needed financial favor "Ebiere", after I must have preached to her on how to apply faith. Heb. 11:6. We sang this song together. and she was relieved of her burdens. The following day she called me "pastor Samuel" the same time we had that encounter that God has favored her through her own uncle; he was the last person in the list of people she expected. and I said to her "the heart of the king is in the hands of God".

I and Joyce was sharing about men in the Hall of faith in Hebrew eleven that they are men who obeyed God, though the road may be rugged but they obeyed people like Abraham, David, Samson etc but king Saul wasn't among because of he wasn't obey God in his assignment. Then we stumbled on this great song.

I and my have been going through changes and difficulties. Also I'm passing difficult moments in the ministry as one of the principal pastor of a church that needs much renewal. Many restless night, but I woke up with this song and found on this site. Praise the Lord Jesus, He's truly with us.
