1
Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
2
Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
3
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.
4
Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.
5
Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
6
Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.

Deeply blessed by these lyrics and the eternal nature given to Gods children... to know Him and give ourselves to Him. He is faithful to answer every heartfelt cry and His tender mercies are clearly seen in all the comments below. We have one Spirit and one mind and one hope, in Christ, and He is calling us to be unified by His working power in us. Let God be true!! Come Lord Jesus Come!

The Lord brought the lyrics of this hymn to my mind as I was praying this morning. I felt compelled to find all the words. Once I’d found them, I had to sing them. And once I sang these God-inspired words, I had to pray them! The intimacy with my Lord that followed was breathtaking and humbling. Then I saw the comments from this week alone. I believe that God is up to something and He wants us to remember our commitment to Him especially when things seem out of control. God is ALWAYS in control. He is our Rock!! To God be the glory!!!

I just finished my morning devotion, consecration just striked my mind, I then searched for the lyrics. It's a blessing to me. God bless the composer and the listeners

In this time of powerlessness about world and national events, I can sing this hymn knowing that I have the power of God in my being to follow His direction and that I can trust His sovereign goodness to guide me and keep me in deep fellowship with Him. How remarkable.

I was about ending my prayer when 'take my life and let it be' came to heart, so I decided to look up the remaining stanzas... and every single stanza just SPELLS out my heart cry.

Thank you Holy Spirit 💕

Buried deep in my heart memory, words came out in prayer. Amen

Revised version:

1. Take my life, and let it be

Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;

Take my moments and my days,

Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Chorus:

For me, You were mocked and crucified;

For me, willingly You bled and died.

Lord, my life and love I willingly outpour

And will serve You ever more.

2. Take my hands and feet, I pray,

For Thy work, to run Thy way.

Take my lips that I may sound

Word of truth to those around.

3. Take my silver and my gold;

Not a mite would I withhold;

Take my intellect, and use

Every power as Thou shalt choose.

4. Make my heart and will Thine own;

They belong to Thee alone.

Take my love; my Lord, I pour

At Thy feet its treasure-store.

5. Take me, Lord, till I've become

Ever joined to Thee as one.

Take myself, and I will be

Ever, only, all for Thee.
