This song indeed is a prayer asking the Lord for us to have His mind and to be like Him in character. As Christians may the words of this song linger within our minds each day waiting for that day when we shall see Him as He is. I am blessed hope you are blessed too.

I am wrestling with God.. not fighting him, wrestling on an issue. How to correctly handle the situation before me …. This song was on my heart when I woke up this morning. In all this wrestling in the end I want to be like Him, my Savior Jesus. Oh to be like Thee… requires me laying down myself over and over again.

Came to my spirit @ about 6:10AM to sing this hymn which I heard for the first time two years ago and since then I hadn't heard it until today.
Maybe, the hymn wasn't so "stampeding" on my heart when I was heard it. But it "clouds" my heart this hour!

How meet a hymn for me at this time as my aspiration. It captures a desire that surely the Lord is willing to grant in both His children and the desperate sinner. I pray this longing captures the heart presently of the Bride of Christ, to the glory of the Lord Almighty.
