To God be the glory, great things He hath done

B39 C34 CB39 E39 G39 K34 P28 R15 S25 T39
1
To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life our redemption to win,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
  Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
  Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
  And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.
2
Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
3
Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see.

Thank you Father God for giving us Your Darling Son Jesus Christ. Thank You Jesus for shedding Your precious blood on the cross for everyone. Thank You for your resurrection. Because You live we can face tomorrow without doubt and fear. Thank Your for sending us The Comforter, The Holy Spirit Who lives in Us.... teaching, leading, guiding us into all truth. Thank you Lord for Your unconditional love, grace, mercy, peace, forgiveness, patience and kindness that You show everyday. I love You because You first loved me and continue to love me inspite of me. You did and do what no one else could and can do, provide my every need. I want for nothing. You show me time and time again that it is You who provide my/our every need. You alone are our source. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Jesus! HALLELUJAH!!! AMEN. 💖

2nd Samuel 22:2-9 and he said Jehovah is my Crag and my fortress and my deliverer my God my rock in whom I take refuge my shield and the Horn of my salvation my high retreat and my refuge My Savior you save me from violence. I called upon Jehovah who is worthy of praise and from my enemies I was saved the torrents of destruction assailed me for the waves of death and compass me the chords of shield surrounded me the snares of death confronted me in my distress I call upon Jehovah and call to my God and he heard my voice from his Temple and My cry came to his ears then the air shook and quaked and the foundations of the heavens trembled and shook about for He was furious smoke went out from his nostrils and fire from his mouth devoured.

Third, we may classify the hymns by the sentiment expressed in the hymns. This is the deepest and most important matter in choosing a hymn. The sentiment of a hymn is the tender feeling of that hymn. The more tender a hymn is, the deeper is its sentiment. Two hymns may have the same subject and be under the same subdivision, but there may be a difference between them in sentiment. For example, Hymns, #39 and #52 are both hymns on the worship of the Father, but they have very different sentiments. Hymns, #39 is a good hymn that is full of excitement. Singing this hymn may make us want to shout. In contrast, Hymns, #52 is a very tender and fine hymn, perhaps the most tender and fine hymn in the section on the worship of the Father. If we study and pray over this hymn, we will sense how deep and tender its feeling is.
