I will never forget when, as a young believer in the Lord, I went to the restroom to take a break at work. (I was struggling. I couldn't understand why it was that after confessing so many times, I still was carrying the burden of past sins.) This song rose up in me, and I got fully released!!!! My sins - IN WHOLE - have been NAILED to the cross!!!! Hallelujah, NAILED!!! NOT THUMBTACKED! They can't ever come down again! I went back to work - never the same again. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your all-inclusive death! I love You!

I have lost 5 family members from cancer over the last couple of years. One being my other half.
I went to sleep last night feeling sad and lonely. But woke up with the words it is well with my soul. So I typed it in.
I listed to the first song that came up. It was the song with the author and his story. I knew then that God was reaching his arms around me.
Then I scrolled down and read the comments left. They inspired and feed my soul.
I will say when I am lonely and missing my love and family to say
"it is well with my soul"
and know His love wraps me, His hands carry me, and forgiveness is endless.

This is one of the most inspirational songs in my memory. It was played by a soloist on a saxophone with piano support. It brought tears to my eyes. I printed out the lyrics and again several times it brought comfort and tears to my eyes. Paul, I remembered wrote "Rejoice in the Lord always." This song helps reinforce what he wrote. As do all the testimonials I read here.
