My faith has found a resting place

1
My faith has found a resting place,
  Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
  His wounds for me shall plead.
  I need no other argument,
  I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
    And that He died for me.
2
Enough for me that Jesus saves,
  This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
  He’ll never cast me out.
3
My heart is leaning on the Word,
  The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s name,
  Salvation through His blood.
4
My great Physician heals the sick,
  The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
  For me His life He gave.

It's enough indeed that my Jesus died for me. Salvation by savior's name and salvation through His blood. I just love the Lord

I need no other arguments, I need no other plea...., it is enough that JESUS DIED and that HE DIED FOR ME. THAT SETTLES IT ALL FOR US.

A timeless hymn! As true now as when it was first penned down and sung by the faithfuls who have now departed.

Enough for me that Jesus saves,

This ends my fear and doubt;

A sinful soul I come to Him,

He’ll never cast me out. IT FACT, IT IS DONE HALLELUJAH TO THE LORD AND THE CHURCH

Thank you both.

That really cleared things up for me and makes this hymn all the more meaningful now that I understand that phrase.

It is not by device that we can obtain salvation but by "trusting the ever-living One"

There is no other argument, There is no other plea. What Jesus did is ENOUGH!
