Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch; like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
That saved a wretch; like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

The Lord hath promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.

It's great a Christian song. Saya bersukacita kepada Lord Jesus setiap kali menyanyikan atau mendengarkan lagu ini. Halelujah.

Thank God salvation is by grace. If not for the sacrifice of Jesus none would be there on that beautiful eternal morning. Salvation is of the Lord. To God be the glory!

Beautiful song. Keep humming the tune always. Learnt the meaning and history behind only today, thanks to all. God bless all.

In the Bible we read of how Saul persecuted the early church, he tortured and murdered. But look at how our loving Jesus redeemed Saul who then was renamed Paul . Paul went on to write 'For by grace are ye saved, through Faith and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. '
This Hymn written by Newton reminds me that we have a loving Father in heaven, it doesn't matter to him what we've done, His blood and grace is enough. Thank you Jesus.

John Newton wrote this song to seek forgiveness for himself. He was a slave trader and the act of slavery and torture went hand in hand for years. I hope he was forgiven for his barbarian acts but this song will never leave my lips.

Quite Inspiring! When I look at how far the Lord has brought me to where I am today, despite all the hurdles / challenges of life, I can not but give God thanks for His amazing Grace upon my life.
