1
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
2
When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
3
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
4
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

WHAT a Blessing to be able to share this song (that was written in the late 1800's) with a niece who is going thru some tough times. It is as enduring as God's Love and our redemption thru Christ for all humanity- that calls HIM LORD!

For a few days, the small voice kept saying, all else is sinking sand. This is the Holy Spirit bringing to my attention something the Lord is wanting me to know. I only remembered this as part of an old hymn. For sure, every word in this hymn is ministering to me. Awesome God we have who knows everything. Praise Him forever more. Wrote it down, and thank you site for making these hymns available to us. May our Lord bless you in Jesus name.

His the rock on which I stand

I awoke early this morning with the strains of this song running through my mind. A song I learned at my Grandmothers knee almost eighty years ago. I was happy to see it has blessed others throughout the world as it has blessed me. Christ lifted me and set my feet on the solid rock. I praise his holy name. My God bless each of you. Amen

Indeed, on the my solid Rock I stand. In times of uncertainty and cloudy and desperate thoughts and no anxiety, I look up and I remember my solid Rock Jesus Christ who never disappoints or fails.
This song lift my spirit, soul and body to look up on that Rock who never changes or fails.
Thanks for the inspiration from the song.

Philippians 1:29 (KJV) For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand. Amen
