Through the bread and cup, Lord Jesus,
We Thy death exhibit here;
What Thy love has done reviewing,
All Thy suff’ring we revere.
Bread and cup in separation,
Show that Thou thru death hast gone;
Grateful now, our spirit worships,
And to Thee we give our song.
We Thy death exhibit here;
What Thy love has done reviewing,
All Thy suff’ring we revere.
Bread and cup in separation,
Show that Thou thru death hast gone;
Grateful now, our spirit worships,
And to Thee we give our song.
Thine the cup of suff’ring,
Mine the cup of blessing;
For Thy love in Thy redemption,
Praise we ever sing!
Mine the cup of blessing;
For Thy love in Thy redemption,
Praise we ever sing!

Thou, in love, hast shed Thy blood, Lord,
Bringing us to God in grace,
That from God, no longer severed,
We may ever see His face.
All God’s righteousness and glory
Have been fully satisfied;
Thru Thy death’s abundant merit
We may now with God abide.
Bringing us to God in grace,
That from God, no longer severed,
We may ever see His face.
All God’s righteousness and glory
Have been fully satisfied;
Thru Thy death’s abundant merit
We may now with God abide.

By Thy death the veil was riven,
Opened was the holiest place,
All the barriers have been broken;
We approach the throne of grace,
There receiving grace and mercy,
Thus the timely need to meet,
Drinking as of living water,
Tasting God Himself replete.

Thou in grace hast so redeemed us,
We the priests may be fore’er
To fulfill that holy office,
All God’s sweetness thus to share.
Such a blessing, such a mercy,
From Thy death for us ensue;
We would ever Thee remember
Till with Thee we drink anew.
We the priests may be fore’er
To fulfill that holy office,
All God’s sweetness thus to share.
Such a blessing, such a mercy,
From Thy death for us ensue;
We would ever Thee remember
Till with Thee we drink anew.

By Thy death the veil was riven,
Heb 10:20 - Which entrance He initiated for us as a new and living way through the veil, that is, His flesh,
Between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies we are confronted with the problem of a veil (Exo. 26:33). The veil signifies the flesh (Heb. 10:20), the self.
The separating veil typifies our flesh, our old, fleshly nature. Just as the veil must be riven, so our fleshly nature, our self, must be broken that we may enter the Holy of Holies. Our self, our old man, has already been crucified with Christ on the cross (Rom. 6:6).

That from God, no longer severed,
Eph. 2:18-19 For through Him we both have access in one Spirit unto the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.
Footnote on "Father" says [... ] Here the trinity of the Godhead is implied. Through God the Son, who is the Accomplisher, the means, and in God the Spirit, who is the Executor, the application, we have access unto God the Father, who is the Originator, the source of our enjoyment.
We may ever see His face.
Rev. 22:4 And they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
Footnote on "see" says "To see the face of God and of the Lamb and to have His name on their foreheads also will be blessings of the Triune God enjoyed by God's redeemed in eternity."

All God’s righteousness have been fully satisfied! I can’t make it, do it or be it, but I open again to The One Who IS, Who Can and Who Has! Oh Lord we receive All That You Are and have accomplished for us!
