Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

1
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,
  the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy
  health and salvation!
    All ye who hear,
Now to His temple draw near;
Sing now in glad adoration!
2
Praise to the Lord, who o’er all
  things so wondrously reigneth,
Who, as on wings of an eagle,
  uplifteth, sustaineth.
    Hast thou not seen
How thy desires all have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?
3
Praise to the Lord, who hath fearfully,
  wondrously, made thee!
Health hath vouchsafed and, when
  heedlessly falling, hath stayed thee.
    What need or grief
Ever hath failed of relief?
Wings of His mercy did shade thee.
4
Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper
  thy work and defend thee,
Who from the heavens the streams of
  His mercy doth send thee.
    Ponder anew
What the Almighty can do,
Who with His love doth befriend thee.
5
Praise to the Lord! Oh, let all that
  is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come
  now with praises before Him!
    Let the Amen
Sound from His people again;
Gladly for aye we adore Him.

I went to sleep last night with this song on my mind and in my heart. I woke this morning and it was still with me. I could not remember all the words, so I googled the songs lyrics. I found that many have been praising God in the midst of these perilous times. He is the King of all Kings and the ruler of our universe. We will praise HIM and humbly bow before HIM. Love You Lord!

Praising God is not obtional but necessary in repective of who you're and what you have, the moment you praise, more of him is revealed.

I most at times feel more of his praised and prayer's.

I woke very early this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. This old hymn was playing in my head. So glad to have all of the words here.

" Let the Amen

Sound from His people again;

Gladly for aye we adore Him."

Greetings from California! I too awoke very early this morning with this grand old hymn in my heart! Most of verse one came easily to mind, with a mix of phrases from other verses cobbling together thereafter. I felt compelled to search for the proper word alignment and here I am. For so many from all over the world to have the same early morning recollection of this hymn and meet here to share the experience is truly amazing! I believe we will sing it together in His presence and wonder anew at how magnificent is our God! Until then I pray his peace upon you.

I awoke early this morning singing the first line from this hymn. I barely know the first verse. I looked up the words and Verse 2 really spoke to me as a consolation.

We serve an amazing God who finds many ways to speak to our hearts to comfort us. Ave Christus Rex

One of the most powerful hymns.

The lyrics gets me every dam time.

"Ponder anew

What the Almighty can do,

Who with His love doth befriend thee."

Along with the Doxology this hymn is most inspirational to me. So many times it has come to lift me from depths of defeat and brought me to the joy of exultation in His faithfulness. What an amazing God we are privileged to know, love and serve.
