My husband is a drunk. On those bad nights when he come in and want to raise all kind of fuss. I turn to this song and find peace in the midst of the storm. Believing their is no secret what God can do as long as I stay near the cross. I always say my husband must be my cross to bear because everyone has one.

Wow! This brings back memories; baptist church in Cape Town: I am now 75 yrs old: I remember this hymn was sung when a call was made to give your heart to Jesus our Redeemer: a sister started singing this hymn.
