I hear Thy welcome voice, That calls me, Lord, to Thee, For cleansing in Thy precious blood That flowed on Calvary. |
I am coming, Lord, Coming now to Thee: Wash me, cleanse me in the blood That flowed on Calvary. |

I initially wanted to sing this song because I was reading 2 Corinthians 2:8 where Paul says, "Therefore I exhort you to confirm your love toward him."
This word confirm stood out to me. I thought how did the Lord confirm is love to us? Well He did this, I believe in two ways. First by resurrecting. On the day of resurrection He sealed the promises that are all In Himself. Second, Romans says the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:5.
We like this brother, in 1 and 2 Corinthians can sing this song with joy and assurance that no matter our sin or condition it is Jesus who confirms the blessed work within. May the Lord grace us all the way until this work is completed. Amen!
