It is not a message that I've heard

NS198
1
It is not a message that I've heard, (Just the Christ, in the word,)
Not some points that I've learned, (The Christ in all I've heard,)
Not a song or verse I know by heart, (But Christ in every song or verse,)
That can meet your need, or wash your feet, (Christ can meet your need,)
Touch your heart, or fill the void,
But it's Christ, just the Christ, (Just this Christ,)
That I've enjoyed. (Just this Christ enjoyed.)
2
It is nothing good that is of myself, (Just the Christ, in you and me,)
Nothing of my natural life, (The Christ who's all to be,)
Not the best of fruit from the knowledge tree, (Only Christ we'd know,)
That can touch your life, or turn your heart, (Christ can touch your life,)
Refresh you in your deepest part,
But it's Christ, just the Christ, (Just this Christ,)
Lived out through me. (Just the Christ in me.)

Very true! We cannot despise prophecies, but even prophecies and knowledge will be rendered useless, for in part we know and in part we prophesy, but when that which is complete has come, then that which is in part will be rendered useless. But love will not ever fall away, the love of Christ, indeed the love of the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself up for us. For if we have prophecies and know all the mysteries and all the knowledge, and if we have all the faith so also to remove mountains, but do not have love, we are nothing. May the Lord enlarge our heart to love all our brethren in the Lord, to cherish every one of them, to pray for each one of them, even as the Lord Himself also loves us, we who are absolutely unworthy of His love.
