Care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o'er the erring one,
Lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus the mighty to save.
Care for the dying;
Jesus is merciful,
Jesus will save.
Still He is waiting,
Waiting the penitent child to receive;
Plead with them earnestly,
Plead with them gently;
He will forgive if they only believe.
Crushed by the tempter,
Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;
Touched by a loving heart,
Wakened by kindness,
Chords that are broken will vibrate once more.
Duty demands it;
Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide;
Back to the narrow way,
Patiently win them;
Tell the poor wand'rer a Savior has died.

This song blesses me from the depest of my heart. It reminds me of the Saints from my village in Antigua Westindies who born on to be with the Lord. I thank God for using them to be soul winners for Jesus. This song reminds me to go out by the grace of God and win souls for Jesus.

I have always considered this a gospel hymn for reaching the lost, unsaved. But I realized today that this message is equally precious to us, God's regenerated sons. How often we are "erring ones", how often we are the ones "slighting Him, Still He is waiting, Waiting the penitent child to receive". How precious that though "Feelings lie buried,,,,,grace can restore". How wonderful a Savior has died! How wonderful that we can apply that death daily. Praise our living Lord!

I am once again propelled by the uncontrolable agony of our Lord on the cross to wake up to the greatest occupation of saved souls.

This song stirred me up to preach the gospel. It still does.

This song inspires me to the utmost because it reminds me a lot about my experience in this journey of Christianity. It reminds me of an Adventist school I went and all of its programs each Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. No other entertainment such as this has ever had much positive impact and great impression on me. This song does all the play back and makes me joyful. Even with its message, it does tell me something about saving soul and evangelism which also were part of the experience. Thank you for this website may God continue to Bless you all.

Our Saviour has died and rose again for all and He is not willing that any soul be lost to the tempter. As our love for Him, we have a duty to lift up the fallen, rescue the persihing, care for the dying, and tell all mankind that Jesus is mighty to save them from sin and the grave. Praise the Lord!!!!
