Down from His glory

1
Down from His glory,
  Ever living story,
My God and Savior came,
  And Jesus was His name.
Born in a manger,
  To His own a stranger,
A Man of sorrows, tears and agony.

O how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fulness dwelleth in Him.
2
What condescension,
  Bringing us redemption;
That in the dead of night,
Not one faint hope in sight,
God, gracious, tender,
  Laid aside His splendor,
Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul.
3
Without reluctance,
  Flesh and blood His substance
He took the form of man,
  Revealed the hidden plan.
O glorious myst'ry,
  Sacrifice of Calv'ry,
And now I know Thou art the great "I AM."

i have heard this song before and now I have the lyrics. I am going to sing it tonight as my testimony in my church home group. Many thanks for providing me with the lyrics and may God bless your wonderful services to mankind.

Satan has managed to remove these songs from the church, replacing them with shallow, irreverent songs with bad theology. Hence the Church has become weak, ineffective. Worship has become mundane.

My wife and I sing this song as a duet, she adds a little flare but we keep the basic music in tact. It's a great hymn that few people know about. Bless Mr. Booth for putting this to song.

O how I love Him! How I adore Him!

My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!

The great Creator became my Savior!

And all God’s fulness dwelleth in Him.

The most Christ-centered song ever told. It declares about the glorious God who decided to become human to save His elect people. My prayers to all the composers in our era to write like this amazing song. To God is the Glory!

The last line in the last verse says I AM. This was in Exo. 3:14 - And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And He said, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel,  I AM has sent me to you. Then in John 18:6 - When therefore He (Jesus) said to them, I am, they drew back and fell to the ground. Jesus claim to be not only the son but also the very God himself

The divine title I am denotes that God is the One who is self-existing and ever-existing and who depends on nothing apart from Himself.

My day would not start well if I did not sing this song, and I would not go to bed at night feeling happy if I did not sing it. I do not think there is a song on the face of the earth that trills my heart like this.

My day is just not the same if I didn't sing this song. Corine, Anne Marie and Johan like to sing with me and we ENJOY the song. O how I Iove HIM! O how I adore Him, my Lord Jesus!
