I always cry anything I sing this hymn because there's a sense of care, love and belonging I get in Christ Jesus knowing fully well He cares for me even when am in a hell of marriage, being abused by my husband always. Thank you Jesus for your care.

Violent riots near my sister's home over an unjust black man's death, pandemic and quarantine for three months, a lonely neighbor whose girlfriend left him without a car, a strong derecho that left me without power and water for three days and left four people dead... In my frustrated prayers and inner turmoil I almost forgot about the package I'd received today. The antique paper rolls for my little organette I'd been waiting for! I pick a random one out of the box and unroll it a bit, and there's the title of the song stamped inside : What a Friend We Have In Jesus.
