What a Friend we have in Jesus

English789

What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He'll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

Indeed, Jesus is a good friend but most times we rely on our wisdom.

What a good friend, pls help me carry all my burdens.

Love u Jesus.

My soul jumps for joy whenever I remember this song and sings it.

Indeed we have a friend in Jesus, but often times we fail to take the advantage of carrying everything to him, who can handle them better.

God bless the composer.

Indeed how good he is, protecting us under his wings, covering us with his hands.

We bear needless pains because we do not carry everything to God in Prayer. God is faithful, He knows our weaknesses yet He chooses us. Thank you Jesus for loving me.

This hymn is filled with glorious truth and God's goodness that shines throughin times of sorrow and, indeed, joy.

Wonderful hymn, knew it in my young years and these more than 3 decades of my life, God has been a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
