Be not dismayed whate'er betide

1
Be not dismayed whate'er betide,
God will take care of you!
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you!
God will take care of you,
Through every day o'er all the way;
He will take care of you;
God will take care of you!
2
Through days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you!
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you!
3
All you may need He will provide,
God will take care of you!
Trust Him, and you will be satisfied,
God will take care of you!
4
Lonely and sad, from friends apart,
God will take care of you!
He will give peace to your aching heart,
God will take care of you!
5
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you!
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
God will take care of you!

God bless you.

Quite inspiring song. Not only when in distress but also in time of joy promising that in all situations whether positive or negative, our God is always there for His own.

The lyrics of this beautiful song are not just ordinary... They are powerful.. As much as the future seem bleak right now, I know God will take care of me..

This song reminds me that I am not alone in all issues of life, especially when they appear overwhelming. The song makes me know all is not lost so long as God is The One taking care of me. May God help those who come across it find comfort and eternal hope in Him, through the blessed Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen.

I just remembered this song right now, as I sing it, it sounded so real and comforting. I learn it in scripture union as choir member, thank You Jesus for bringing it up in my mind in times like this.

I have been depressed lately as a result of infertility, lack of finances in the home and a general dissatisfaction with everything around me. This hymn has brought such encouragement to my heart.

God bless you for sharing.

As I sit here reading God’s word and listening to this old familiar hymn, I am blessed by the sweet, strong message. I rejoice and am encouraged by the comments from all over the world. I am reminded that in this time of much unbelief, God has His people all over this world and I am grateful.

My dearly departed sister.. one of the golden leaves on the Tree of Humanity.. and I used to sing this hymn together

When we were in the Methodist Church choir in Victoria Park WA many years ago. My sister had a lovely soprano voice while I croaked along in the lower register.

For many years the third line of the first verse escaped my memory.

I am so pleased that I can now sing the full verse to myself.

Thank you.
