My faith has found a resting place

1
My faith has found a resting place,
  Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
  His wounds for me shall plead.

I need no other argument,
  I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
    And that He died for me.
2
Enough for me that Jesus saves,
  This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
  He'll never cast me out.
3
My heart is leaning on the Word,
  The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior's name,
  Salvation through His blood.
4
My great Physician heals the sick,
  The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
  For me His life He gave.

I woke up with the song whispered to me from the dreamland. So assuring of my salvation in Jesus. His promises to me are yea and amen. I perceive it's a message of REST from whatever agitation

This song exalts the virtue of being given faith by understanding and coming to trust the Word of God. When the written Word Word of God is revealed spiritually and believed by an obedient ear this is faith. When Christ the living Word speaks and is known what healing to a soul that has for a long time had only a form of Godliness without the power.

John 5:5-9 KJV

[5] And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. [6] When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? [7] The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. [8] Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. [9] And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
