My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.
Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.
I need no other argument,
I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.
I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.

Enough for me that Jesus saves,
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
He'll never cast me out.
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
He'll never cast me out.

My heart is leaning on the Word,
The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior's name,
Salvation through His blood.
The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior's name,
Salvation through His blood.

My great Physician heals the sick,
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave.
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave.

I was born into a devout home where daily Bible reading and prayer were a normal part of life. I prayed to receive Christ at an early age and gradually became more and more involved in church as the years went by. But alas, in spite of all my activity in church I had no lasting assurance of salvation and I was plagued by doubts and fears. Finally, in desperation, at 40 years of age, I cried out to God for help. By divine appointment I came under the preaching of a man sent by God (Rom. 10:14-15). Under Holy Ghost conviction I was made ready to receive Christ Jesus the LORD and my faith came to rest in Him! (1 Thes. 1:5) For all these years I’d been trying various ‘things’ to get God to save me. (John 5:40, Rom. 14:17) I’d been down the church aisle, down the ‘Roman Road’, prayed a hundred prayers asking God to save, been baptized, lived by a good creed; but I didn’t have Him! But now:
“My faith has found a resting place, Not in device nor creed;
I trust the ever living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.”
Hallelujah!!!

A song for all seasons. A song of my full redemption by His precious blood. I just can imagine what I would have become if He did not die for me.. I will remain grateful to Him through a thousand eternities. My Lord Jesus, I am grateful.

Salvation is in no other but in our Lord Jesus Christ. By the new covenant in His blood of atonement, Repentance leading to Forgiveness was once and for all made available unto man. It is enough that Jesus died and now He lives forever more. Thank You Jesus.
