Dear Savior, Thou art mine

1
Dear Savior, Thou art mine,
How sweet the thought to me;
Let me repeat Thy name,
And lift my heart to Thee.

Mine! Mine! Mine!
I know Thou art mine;
Savior, dear Savior,
  I know Thou art mine.
2
Thou art the sinner's friend,
So I Thy friendship claim,
A sinner saved by grace,
When Thy sweet message came.
3
My hardened heart was touched;
Thy pard'ning voice I heard;
And joy and peace came in
While list'ning to Thy word.
4
So let me sing Thy praise,
So let me call Thee mine.
I cannot doubt Thy word,
I know that I am Thine.

Thank You Lord Jesus for recognising me as Yours and permitting me the Peerless Honour and Glory of recognising You as mine! Who am I to claim You? And yet, God's Word, His Testament, God's Own Will, has given You to me! Without sweat, without labour, without any striving or toil on my part

I closed my eyes last night in a sleep worthy of a Great Sabbath, and opened my eyes to this hymn, and found out that everything I could have hoped and dreamed of, I've found in You. How did this happen?

Thank You Abba Father! Who am I that to me, You have entrusted Your Precious Son? I am not worthy, and yet, You have made me sufficient through Him! He's my Cloak of Righteousness. He's the Sandals on my feet! He's given me the Holy Spirit as the Engagement-Ring upon my finger! And You Are my Marriage Dinner!

How is it that I've been chosen, out of all these? And yet, who am I to say no to my Lord and my God? To You I say YES YES YES! Despising all self chosen lowliness and philosophies and the ways of men! No one can defraud me now! You Are Mine! I claim You dear Lord as my Eternal Fiancé and Bridegroom and Husband! Amen! Hallelujah! The Engagement Contact has been signed! Now all we are waiting for is the Official Marriage Ceremony! Amen! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! What a happy day!

In the gospels, it's not so much as as Jesus so ours, but rather we belong to Jesus. He said, 'he who comes to me I will in no wise cast out', and 'ye have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordained you that ye should bring forth fruit, fruit that will remain'. Although the two statements do not demonstrate the above premise, they go some way in doing so.

What a blessing this hymn has been to me. I sing it in the midnight hours when I can't sleep and it brings me such comfort.

The lyrics exactly expresses how I feel. Besides, the tune is catchy and the rhythm so full of joy.

This is such a sweet hymn penned by the authors. It shows how they, and we need to have such an intimate relationship with our dear Lord. He is truly ours and we are His now and for eternity! Praise Him for His faithfulness in pardoning us for all of our sins and offenses. Yet, time after time, He still accepts us just as we are.
