Who is He in yonder stall,
At whose feet the shepherds fall?
At whose feet the shepherds fall?
'Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
'Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
'Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!

Who is He in deep distress,
Fasting in the wilderness?
Fasting in the wilderness?
3
Who is He the people bless
For His words of gentleness?
For His words of gentleness?
4
Who is He to whom they bring
All the sick and sorrowing?
All the sick and sorrowing?
5
Who is He that stands and weeps
At the grave where Lazarus sleeps?
At the grave where Lazarus sleeps?
6
Who is He the gathering throng
Greet with loud triumphant song?
Greet with loud triumphant song?
7
Lo! at midnight, who is He
Prays in dark Gethsemane?
Prays in dark Gethsemane?
8
Who is He on yonder tree
Dies in grief and agony?
Dies in grief and agony?
9
Who is He who from the grave
Comes to succor, help, and save?
Comes to succor, help, and save?
10
Who is He who from His throne
Rules through all the worlds alone?
Rules through all the worlds alone?

It's such an amazing hymn! The last time I sang it was 2004-2005. Really glad to have it here and youtube. Thanks!

I can't help but praise Him. I work up this morning with this hymn in my spirit, don't know why but all I can say is indeed He’s the Lord, the king of glory and at His feet we prostate and fall. Amen.

Early eighties I heard this song but not with this tune, the tune I knew was slowly than this one. But there is picture of the throne I see each time I remember this song. Till date am still looking for that very tune because that one created a room for meditation. All the same glory be to God

I grew up in the small town in Ohio that Benjamin Hanby Pastored in in the 1860s. We always sang his secular songs at Christmas in elementary school. I spoke at a small Church in Tennessee this Christmas and in my preperation came across this beautiful hymn. It touched me deeply. It confirms to me that all I have to do is call on Him through study and prayer to realize that my Savior, my Lord, The King of Glory is with me always!

Hallelujah! Christ is Lord! He's the Lord, the King of glory! Oh wondrous story! At His Feet we humbly fall. We crown Him Lord of all!
Thank You Lord that I am privilege to know and have such wonderful God as my Lord! Amen!
This a great rehearsal of the gospel narrative but as such verse 9 is very weak. What happened to the resurrection? When we declare that we believe in the resurrection of the body we are saying that we place our confidence in Christ's bodily resurrection because this means that ours (those who are in Christ) will surely follow. Paul says that if Christ is not raised we are still in our sins.

The only King of Glory... The same yesterday, today and forever... Crown HIM Lord of all.
