Praise the Savior, ye who know Him!
Who can tell how much we owe Him?
Gladly let us render to Him
All we are and have.
Who can tell how much we owe Him?
Gladly let us render to Him
All we are and have.

Jesus is the name that charms us;
He for conflicts fits and arms us;
Nothing moves and nothing harms us
When we trust in Him.
He for conflicts fits and arms us;
Nothing moves and nothing harms us
When we trust in Him.
3
Trust in Him, ye saints, forever;
He is faithful, changing never;
Neither force nor guile can sever
Those He loves from Him.
He is faithful, changing never;
Neither force nor guile can sever
Those He loves from Him.
4
Keep us, Lord, oh, keep us cleaving
To Thyself and still believing,
Till the hour of Thy receiving
The victorious Bride.
To Thyself and still believing,
Till the hour of Thy receiving
The victorious Bride.
5
Then we shall be where we would be;
Then we shall be what we should be;
Things which are not now, nor could be,
Then shall be our own.
Then we shall be what we should be;
Things which are not now, nor could be,
Then shall be our own.

I needed to sing a praise song to get out of the doldrums! This one came to mind, from childhood.

This was my late husband’s favorite song. He would point out that “to” in the first stanza should be pronounced like “tow” as in towing a camper so that it rhymes with “know” and “owe. ”

Praise the Lord I know my savior Jesus Christ. Over the years I have grown to love Him. Now I gladly render (give) all I am and have. I consecrated myself to the Lord and His church when I was 16. Now I know Him more and I solidify my consecration. How wonderful to know Christ. Keep me believing and trusting until that hour when He receives all of His lovers (the bride).

I found myself singing a verse of this in bed last night and couldn’t remember all the words. I found them after typing the ones I could remember into safari. When I first became a Christian many years ago we would sing it at church using the Redemption Hymnal. Song No 52.
The last line of verse 4 was (Till the hour of our receiving promised joys in heaven.
I would love to hear more of these beautiful old hymns sung in church today. They are so full of the truth of the gospel.

We also sang, as the last 2 lines of 4th stanza, "'Till the hour of our receiving Promised joys with Thee!" Also, on the last stanza, 4th line, we sang, "SOON shall be our own!"

This is such a great song. We used to sing it both at home with my parents n in church.
This morning it has come with so much revelation of the wonderful work of the cross n what was accomplished on that day when our Lord n Saviour hang thereon.
Lord help us to love you more.

Thought the last 2 lines of verse 4 was "til the hour of our receiving promised joys with thee." That is what I learned as a child. Thank you for the text, however. Refreshed my memory and my spirit.

This is a great song that encourages me to praise my Lord Jesus Christ. It touches my heart more if I sing it in mother's tongue thus: "Muhonokia arogocwo ni ithui andu ake kai tungimenya thiri witu na Jesu"
