I came to this song this morning. It is a real key to our Christian life. We must turn away to our spirit. Two things a saw in this song this morning. First when we sing songs to the Lord we are brought to our spirit and more importantly we are brought into oneness. This is so crucial. Secondly, I see my default condition is just dwelling in my mind. It’s only when I turn from my mind to my spirit I can enjoy Christ’s riches. Then the source is God and He can direct our mind. What a simple song but so profound. The focus on the Spirit and our spirit came from WL and is foundational to our faith.
