And on the bread and on the wine we gaze;
We praise Thee, Lord, that Thou as food art able
To be enjoyed by man in many ways.
How small Thou art, how small Thou art!
And Thee we'll eat through all eternity;
How small Thou art, how small Thou art!
Has come into the world, life to supply—
That man would live, not by Him, but by teachings,
So powerless these riches to apply.
He's marvelous, He's wonderful!
And as we eat, we're inwardly restored;
Christ grows in us, grows to the full.
To be a king, to rule us outwardly.
But Thou hast come as food to satisfy us,
And by Thy life to guide us inwardly.
For all Thy strength and majesty replete;
And yet, O Lord, what special thanks we give Thee,
That all Thou art is small enough to eat.

1
O Jesus Lord, when present at Thy table,
And on the bread and on the wine we gaze;
We praise Thee, Lord, that Thou as food art able
To be enjoyed by man in many ways.
So all our being sings in praise to Thee,
How small Thou art, how small Thou art!
And Thee we'll eat through all eternity;
How small Thou art, how small Thou art!
2
O what a shame — when Christ with all His riches,
Has come into the world, life to supply —
That man would live, not by Him, but by teachings,
So powerless these riches to apply.
But all we need to do is eat the Lord;
He's marvelous, He's wonderful!
And as we eat, we're inwardly restored;
Christ grows in us, grows to the full.
3
O Jesus Christ, Thou camest not to mankind
To be a king, to rule us outwardly.
But Thou hast come as food to satisfy us,
And by Thy life to guide us inwardly.
So all our being sings in praise to Thee,
How small Thou art, how small Thou art!
And Thee we'll eat through all eternity;
How small Thou art, how small Thou art!
4
We praise Thee, Lord, for all Thy glorious grandeur,
For all Thy strength and majesty replete;
And yet, O Lord, what special thanks we give Thee,
That all Thou art is small enough to eat.
So all our being sings in praise to Thee,
How small Thou art, how small Thou art!
And Thee we'll eat through all eternity;
How small Thou art, how small Thou art!

O Jesus Lord, when present at Your table, we are invited to eat You in so many ways!
Our God Himself, laid aside all His glorious grandeur, strength and majesty, to become a man. Living out 33 years focused on the final goal (Hebrews 12:2) of the full oneness between God and man! And for this joy set before Him he endured the cross! Oh, dear Lord Jesus, You knew WE WERE IMPOTENT so You became SMALL enough for us to receive You. You became the LIFE giving Spirit, full of the riches of God, to get into our spirit.
All we can do is praise the Lord that He became small enough for us.
Here is our Christ in all His riches, He has come into the world... LIFE to supply... so, it is a shame, that man would live by teachings, doctrines, concepts, philosophy, etc., so powerless all these riches to apply. But all we need to do is eat the Lord (he who eats Me shall live because of Me). As we eat Him we are inwardly strengthened, nourished, vitalized!
May His Kingdom come, His will be done! His Kingdom comes from within us. We are His Kingdom people because we are eating the Kingdom food, Christ Himself. We are day by day, feeding on His living Word, being reconstituted, renewed in our minds...
Praise Him for the way.
AND He grows in us...His Word becomes our LIFE supply. Guiding us inwardly, bringing us into the experience of truthing it (Ephesians 4:15) that ...we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, Christ, (4:16) out from whom all the Body, being joined together and being knit together through every joint of the rich supply and through the operation in the measure of each one part, causes the growth of the Body unto the building up if itself in love.
How GREAT Thou art that You would became SMALL enough for us to receive as our rich, daily supply!!!
So all our being sings in praise to You, how small You are :O :O :O
