Praise The Lord for this hymn which was composed by The Holy Spirit and written by Charlotte Elliot through her sorrow and comfort that only THE LORD JESUS CHRIST could relieve. It is the most profound and deepest prayer of sinner desperately in need of The SAVING GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. These words have been carved in my heart and soul and have been such a tremendous blessing to me , they will never depart from my life till the day I see JESUS and lay prostrate before HIM. For GOD has exalted HIM and given HIM a Name that is above every Name , that at The Name of JESUS every knee should bow and every tongue confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD to THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.
Every sinner must repent and call upon HIS NAME

'.... tossed about with many a conflict, many a doubt, fightings within and fears without... ', I resisted to the last line of the last verse but God was shaking me from the inside out, felt by me and visible (apparently) to others. So glad I yielded to what I now see as a 'now-or-never' moment. God started working on my hard shell, breaking pride, arrogance, self reliance and so much more. 40 years later I'm still a work-in-progress but so thankful I yielded, and thankful that God gives me reminders when I know I have let Him down, and I can look back om the occasions when I recognised His immense presence, like ongoing signposts beckoning me to go further with Him. Praise to you, O Lord.
