But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bid'st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come! I come!
To rid my soul of one dark blot;
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
With many a conflict, many a doubt;
Fightings within, and fears without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
Sight, riches, healing of the mind;
Yes, all I need, in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
Has broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Just as I am, ooh Lord
Houston, TX, United States
As I sit in the family room at the mortuary for the death of a family member, this song comes on in instrumental format. I am instantly taken back to my 10 year old self in a little country church singing and crying and just wanting to know the complete love of Jesus. God has us in his constant, steadfast love always. His guiding hands helping us through these moments in time that hurt. I am loved.

This Hymn causes us to be humbled and emptied out so that the Saviour dying love can flood us. I have enjoyed this Hymn so much even with tears, tears of my deep appeciation for the Lord Himself. This is to give Him back all He has done for us, it is indeed His love, His tears, tears of joy and great thanksgiving.
Though the Spirit in Christ unto the Father. OH THANK YOU FATHER for the precious LAMB OF GOD.

The song reflects the love of God towards mankind. How rich and pure, how measureless and strong.

I was raised atheist, but got saved & baptized when I was 15. I was the only kid who got punished by being grounded from church! Sang this song so many times; sometimes the pastor would make us sing the whole thing over again for that one soul he just knew was struggling. It's burned into my heart. This one and Softly and Tenderly.

I'm in the choir at my church. There are 2 or 3 of us each Sunday. We sang this song today and I just love it. I had to look up the lyrics and sing it again just because it felt so good to sing it.
