I have fought the good fight;
I have finished the course;
I have fought the good fight;
I have kept the faith.
I have finished the course;
I have fought the good fight;
I have kept the faith.

Henceforth there is laid up for me
The crown of righteousness,
Which the Lord, the Righteous Judge,
Will recompense me in that day,
And not only me
But also all those who have loved His appearing.
The crown of righteousness,
Which the Lord, the Righteous Judge,
Will recompense me in that day,
And not only me
But also all those who have loved His appearing.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 show Paul's Christian life was a life of 1) fighting the good fight against the stratagems of God's enemy, 2) running the course to carry out God's purpose, and 3) keeping the faith. In maintaining these three aspects, Paul set up a wonderful pattern for all believers to follow.

We lay hold on the eternal life, we keep the faith, and we fight the good fight of the faith today! Hallelujah!

Dear Lord, make me one who seeks and loves your appearing. And strengthen me to fight the good fight, and finish the course. In this age, finish what you have started in me.

The hymns have the flavor of the Lord, they are very encouraging to continue running the race toward the Lord in His Kingdom, the crown of righteousness. I love the Lord, and I thank that to the Lord's recovery, the local churches. It is lovely to live in His Body.
